I recently ordered two RG33 cables to connect my RTX 3080 to my power supply. The product description claimed they were 8 to 6+2 pin cables, but the ones I received only have 6 pins populated on the PSU side. Is this normal? Will a 6-pin connector be sufficient to power my GPU without any problems? I have a SeaSonic Core ATX3 750W PSU, which came with a 12 to 2x8 pin connector, but it's only able to accommodate two of the three 8-pin connections needed for my GPU. I was planning to use an extra CPU/PCIe slot for the third connection.

If your GPU really needs three 8-pin connectors, you're going to need to make sure you have all three properly connected. A 6-pin connector usually won't be able to deliver enough power to support the GPU's needs, especially under heavy load.
Don't sweat it too much! A 6+2 pin connector actually works just like an 8-pin one, so you should be fine with that part. Just make sure the entire system can handle the power draw. If the cable is well made, it can still support your GPU well enough.
