Can a Bent CPU Be Fixed or Do I Need to Replace It?

I need some advice on my i9 12900kf, which got bent due to heat. I recently installed a new water cooler, and when I checked, I found out that the CPU was bent. Now my PC won't even boot up; the fans start spinning for a moment and then shut off. Am I stuck just replacing the CPU, or is there something else I can do to fix it?

You might want to check if the bending is caused by the pressure from the cooler. If that's the case, you could try loosening the mounting screws if you over-tightened them or look into getting a contact frame. Make sure everything is tightened evenly instead of cranking one side down fully before the other.

I had the CPU in my hand, and it's definitely bent. I can show you a pic if you want!

Just to clarify, heat shouldn't have caused the CPU bending; it’s more likely due to incorrect installation of the cooler. Make sure the coolers are mounted correctly to avoid bending them in the future.

I guess it might be my fault then, but I've seen a lot of threads where users said their i9 12900k CPUs bent from heat. It’s frustrating!
