Can a Bluetooth Extender Connect My Xbox Controller to My PC Wirelessly?

I'm trying to figure out if I can use a Bluetooth extender to connect my Xbox controller to my PC from different rooms. My computer is in the office, and I want to use the controller while I'm in the bedroom. The idea is to plug a Bluetooth extender into a wall outlet in the kitchen, which is between the two rooms. Would this setup allow my controller to communicate wirelessly with the Bluetooth extender, and then the extender communicates wirelessly with my PC? If this won't work, are there any other products I could use to achieve this connection? I can't run long cords because I share the space with others.

I get what you're trying to do, but keep in mind that Bluetooth supports multiple connections, but the specific hardware you're using might not support that kind of setup. You’ll want to check if your PC and controller can handle it before you invest in anything.

Yes, Bluetooth extenders do exist and can help with extending the range. I suggest trying a long-range Bluetooth adapter on your laptop first. They're often USB dongles with larger antennas which can significantly improve your connection. Just make sure it's positioned away from your WiFi router to avoid interference.

Have you thought about using Xbox remote play instead? It’s a straightforward solution that doesn’t require extra hardware. Plus, since you’re on the same local network, the latency should be minimal. It might save you some hassle!
