Can a Flipper Zero Disrupt Mobile Data or Hotspots?

I've been researching the Flipper Zero and noticed that some capabilities require additional community-developed software or hardware add-ons. I have a specific use case in mind and want to know whether the device can interfere with a cellular connection, such as mobile data or a personal hotspot. Is that technically possible, and what limitations or legal concerns would apply?

Deliberately disrupting cellular service or hotspots is generally prohibited and can create serious safety issues by interfering with emergency communications. In many places, including the United States, unauthorized radio interference can lead to severe penalties. The Flipper is better treated as a learning tool for permitted, low-power experiments rather than a device for disrupting networks.

The legal side isn’t my main concern, but I understand that the Flipper itself probably isn’t suitable for this.

Not with the Flipper Zero by itself. It doesn’t natively support the cellular bands used by 4G LTE or 5G, and it isn’t designed to function as a cellular jammer. Additional hardware wouldn’t make intentional interference a safe or appropriate project, either.
