I bought a Patriot 16GB DDR5-5600 SODIMM for my Lenovo LOQ 15AHP10, but it failed to work in both my laptop and a friend's laptop. The system powers on with fans and RGB, but it never reaches POST or BIOS when this module is installed. I tested it by itself in each slot, tried different combinations with my working RAM, reseated it, cleaned the contacts with an eraser and isopropyl alcohol, and confirmed that it still gets warm when installed. The retailer issued a full refund and told me to dispose of the module, so I still have it and was wondering whether there is any realistic or even risky way to repair or revive it.

This sounds like a genuinely defective memory module, not something that can usually be fixed with reseating or cleaning. A bad memory chip, damaged PCB trace, failed power component, or corrupted SPD data can all prevent the laptop from completing POST. The fact that it gets warm and the lighting works only shows that it is receiving power; it does not mean the memory chips are functional. Avoid applying extra voltage or attempting physical modifications, since that is more likely to damage the laptop than revive the module.
The module does not appear to be conventional ECC RAM. DDR5 has on-die error correction internally, but that is different from system-level ECC support and should not make the SODIMM incompatible with a normal laptop. Since it also failed in another compatible laptop, incompatibility is much less likely than a dead or faulty stick.
If the manufacturer warranty is still active, the sensible option is to contact Patriot and request an RMA or replacement. Tell them the module fails to POST in two known-compatible systems and provide the part number and test results. Beyond warranty replacement, there is no practical user-level repair for a failed SODIMM; professional component-level repair would cost more than the RAM is worth and could risk the laptop.

Even if a system cannot use ECC features, ordinary compatible memory would generally still be detected and boot. A total failure to reach POST points more toward the module itself or its SPD/power circuitry.
