Can Data Be Recovered After Running DiskPart “clean all” on an M.2 SSD?

I accidentally ran diskpart clean all to completion on an M.2 SSD and need to know whether any of the previous data can still be recovered with software. Is professional laboratory recovery worth attempting, or has the command permanently erased everything?

DiskPart’s clean all command is very different from clean. It writes zeroes across the entire drive rather than simply removing the partition information. Because the SSD was fully overwritten, normal recovery software will not be able to restore the previous files.

Do not write anything else to the SSD or keep experimenting with recovery tools. For genuinely critical data, you could contact a professional recovery lab, but the chances of recovering useful information from an SSD after a completed clean all operation are effectively negligible. A lab may only be able to confirm that the data is gone.

The advice that recovery software can recover the files applies to DiskPart clean or a quick format, where the old sectors may still contain data. It does not generally apply to clean all, since that command overwrites the drive. On an SSD, internal controller behavior and garbage collection make the odds even worse.
