I'm in the UK and want to build a gaming PC with a budget of around £1,200. I'd ideally like to include a Radeon 9070 XT, but I'm not sure whether the rest of the system can fit within that budget. I don't need a monitor, and I'm not concerned about having an expensive or flashy case. My main preference is for the PC to run quietly while gaming. I also have an ASUS TUF 15 gaming laptop with two SSDs, including one with Windows installed, that I'd like to reuse in the new build if possible. Any advice on suitable components, compromises, or whether this budget is realistic would be appreciated.

There are builds that fit the budget, but you may need to spend slightly more for a 9070 XT, or make compromises on the processor, storage, case, and other components. Reusing the two SSDs will help, although check their physical interface and condition before planning around them. You may also need fresh thermal paste when installing the CPU cooler.
To stay close to budget, consider an Intel Core i5-14400 or i5-14600 with 32GB of DDR4 memory and pair it with the Radeon 9070 or 9070 XT. The non-XT model may make the overall build easier to fit within £1,200 while still delivering excellent gaming performance.
A Ryzen 7 7800X3D bundle that includes the motherboard and RAM could be a strong option, especially if you find a good bundle deal. For the case, a used model can save quite a bit of money; just make sure it has decent airflow and room for the graphics card. A quality CPU cooler and quiet case fans will also help keep noise down.
I forgot to mention that the two SSDs are from my ASUS TUF 15, and one already has the operating system installed. I’d like to move both of them into the new build if they’re compatible.
