Hey everyone! I just got all the parts for my new PC build, but I ran into a snag. I'm using an old case and it turns out I'm missing 3 standoffs for my motherboard. Is this a big deal, or can I still make it work without them?

It really depends on how many standoffs you have already installed. If you’ve got enough in place, especially if you’re using an AIO cooler, you might be okay. However, if you’re using an air cooler, the weight might cause issues with your motherboard.

I actually have a prebuilt rig with a mATX motherboard in a full-sized case, and my air cooler was heavy. I think I'll need to pause my build and grab some standoffs from the store tomorrow.
