I was watching a YouTube video about beating Fallout 4 before the Switch 2 battery dies, and it made me curious. If you're out and have a power bank, can you reduce the battery drain on a device while using a high-drain application by plugging it in? Specifically, if the charger can't charge the battery while playing, will it just slow down the battery drainage, or does it really do nothing?

It really depends on your device and charger. I'm not super familiar with the Switch, but I would assume it does have pass-through charging, so it charges as you play. It also varies if the charger can keep up with the power demand. On my phone, I can game all day with a good charger, but with a cheap one, it will drain slowly and even display an error when I play intensive games.
