Can I connect a VGA-only PC to an HDMI monitor?

I have a PC that only supports VGA, but my monitor only has HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. Since I don't have a GPU, I'm wondering if a VGA to HDMI converter would allow me to connect the two. Will it work?

You can definitely use an adapter. They're pretty affordable on eBay. Just remember, since you're not gaming, latency shouldn't be a big issue.

Yeah, a VGA to HDMI adapter should work fine for you. Just keep in mind that VGA doesn't carry audio, so if your monitor has built-in speakers, you'll need a separate way to get sound.

Are you absolutely sure your PC only supports VGA? Older models usually have a DVI port too. It might be worth checking just to be sure.
