Can I fit an RTX 5070 Ti into a $2,000–$2,500 PC build?

Is it still realistic to find an RTX 5070 Ti and build a complete gaming PC for around $2,000–$2,500? GPU prices seem unusually high right now, so I'm wondering whether I should keep looking, consider an RTX 4070 Super, or switch to an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT instead.

It’s possible, but the 5070 Ti is taking up a huge portion of the budget. Current example builds land around $2,400–$2,450, with the graphics card alone costing roughly $1,150. That leaves less room for premium memory, storage, and other components.

That’s definitely expensive, but it isn’t quite as extreme as saying the GPU and RAM consume the entire budget. A 32GB DDR5 kit paired with an RX 9070 XT can still come in under about $1,200 combined.

A complete build can fit your budget. Both Intel and AMD configurations around $2,400 are possible, but they use current inflated memory, storage, and GPU prices. If you specifically want the 5070 Ti, expect to spend close to $1,150 for the card alone.

The fact that the cheapest available 5070 Ti is around $1,150 is pretty painful. That price makes the rest of the build much harder to balance.

The RX 9070 XT is probably the main alternative right now. It offers strong performance and can give you more room in the budget, so I’d compare its current price against the 5070 Ti before committing.

I wanted a 5070 Ti too, but I couldn’t justify the current pricing. I ended up buying an RTX 4070 Super at a good price instead, which also worked better for my small-form-factor build. The RX 9070 XT is worth considering if you don’t need Nvidia-specific features.
