Can I Force an iPad Update on My First Gen iPad Pro?

I have a first generation iPad Pro that still works great, but it's stuck on OS version 16.7.10. The problem is that I need to use an app that requires at least version 17.5. Is there any way I can jailbreak it to force an update to either 17.5 or 18?

Unfortunately, there's no way to forcibly update it. If you really need that app, think about getting a newer iPad that can run the required software. You've gotten good use out of your current device already!

This is a classic case of 'planned obsolescence.' Tech companies often stop supporting older devices, pushing users to buy the latest models. It's frustrating, but it’s their business model—release new products and move on from the old ones!

If the app in question doesn't frequently update and seems to require the newer OS, consider looking into refurbished or used newer iPads. They can be a cost-effective way to get what you need without breaking the bank!

Even if you somehow manage to install the newer OS, the app would likely struggle to function properly since the latest versions of iOS aren't designed to support the older hardware of your iPad Pro. It could fail to boot up at all!
