Can I Get a Web Development Job Without a Degree?

Hey folks! I'm 23 and I'm looking for some honest feedback about my chances of landing a web development job without having a formal degree. I've put in a lot of effort into my learning: I've completed over 1,000 hours of professional development courses after school, attended a programming academy where I excelled, and have gained significant practical experience through freelancing. My tech skills include a solid stack like C++, C#, JavaScript, PHP, HTML/CSS, and more.

I've built various projects, including full websites, apps, and a custom booking platform for my family's business. I've even participated in hackathons and worked on an AI prototype for traffic management. With all this experience, do you think it's realistic for me to get a junior web dev role if I continue to enhance my portfolio? What would you prioritize if you were in my shoes? Any insights from self-taught developers or hiring managers would be super helpful!

You've got a solid background! If you're located in regions like Europe, the U.S., or Australia, you definitely have a shot at landing a job. Just prepare well for interviews and focus on showcasing your skills. Even if you don't aim for Fortune 500 companies, there are plenty of decent opportunities out there. Best of luck!

I'm not looking for Fortune 500 either, just a good role. I'm based in a fintech-friendly EU country, so that gives me hope. Thanks for the encouragement!
