I have a micro ATX build from 2012 with an Intel i7-3770k, 16 GB of DDR3 RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti. I'm running Windows 11 on it, but it's crawling. I'm mainly looking to salvage this setup for some older games without expecting it to run anything new. Is maxing out the RAM or upgrading the GPU worthwhile? Any suggestions?

The sluggish performance might be due to having an HDD or if your CPU is overheating. Just a heads-up, it sounds like you already have an SSD which should help a lot! Keep an eye on your CPU temps too, just in case.
Not a total disaster! With that SSD and reasonable RAM, there’s potential. Just keep in mind that Windows 11 on unsupported hardware can be a real drag. Maybe consider a clean install of Windows 10. It should run older titles like Diablo 3 decently if you lower the settings a bit. And yeah, the GTX 1060 is a solid upgrade if your PSU can handle it.
You can definitely upgrade this system, just don’t go overboard on expectations! If you have 2x8GB of RAM, adding another 8GB can be a cheap fix. For the GPU, look at getting a GTX 1050 or 1060—they’ve dropped in price and could really help.

Yeah, I have an SSD now. I’ll check the CPU temps to see if that’s the problem.
