I'm new to building PCs and I'm looking to add a network adapter to my Asus TUF B850M-E WiFi motherboard. I've noticed that it has two PCIe slots, but I'm unsure if I can use it for a TP-Link TX401 PCIe express network adapter. One of the slots is labeled 'SafeSlot'. Can anyone clarify if this setup will work? Thanks!

You can technically make it work by using that slot, but the downside is that you'd lose space for your graphics card. So, effectively, you won’t be able to use both the adapter and a GPU at the same time. Just a heads-up!

Oh wow, I wasn't even aware you could add a 10 Gb network adapter like the TX401! That's pretty cool! Just makes me wonder why you want to add one.
