I've got an Acer Nitro 5, and I read online that I can upgrade the RAM. Currently, it has 2x4GB sticks, and I'm curious if I can add a 16GB or 32GB stick while leaving one of the 4GB sticks in there. All the upgrade videos I found showed people using one 8GB stick alongside another 8GB. Is it possible to mix these sizes, or do they need to match?

I recommend checking the laptop’s manual or the manufacturer’s website for detailed specs. They often give you the maximum capacity and if mixing RAM sizes is advisable. Generally, you can upgrade to larger sizes, but make sure to verify that before making a purchase!
Have you tried using Crucial’s scanner tool? It’s really useful for identifying what RAM you currently have and what upgrades are possible. It showed me that my Nitro 5 can support up to 64GB!
I did the scan and saw I have 2x4GB, but it says the max is 64GB. Pretty cool!
You can usually use different sizes of RAM together, but keep in mind that they should ideally be matched for optimal performance. Mixing might slightly reduce speed, but it generally works just fine. Check out the specs for your model to be sure!
Thanks for the tip!

Got it, will do!
