Can I Mix Fan Speeds on My CPU Cooler?

Hey everyone! I've got a quick question about my CPU cooler setup. I recently picked up an extra Be Quiet! Light Wings LX high-speed fan and I'm currently using a Pure Rock Pro 3 CPU cooler that comes with two Pure Wings 3 fans. If I swap out the front fan for the Light Wings LX HS, will that create any issues? Is there an upside to having a faster fan in front? Also, should I daisy chain the fans together or connect them to different fan headers?

I’ve got a setup with three intake and three exhaust fans. I love keeping a positive pressure by running my intake fans at a higher RPM than the exhaust ones. That way, I create more airflow coming in than going out, which helps with cooling. Just keep in mind that you’re specifically asking about CPU cooler fans, not case fans. But it’s good to think about pressure in your case too!

Adding a high-speed fan could potentially improve cooling efficiency, but it might also create noise if it’s too loud compared to the others. Check if your motherboard allows for separate fan control; connecting them to different headers might give you more control over their speeds.

What’s your main goal here? Are you looking for better cooling or just adding some RGB flair? Mixing fan speeds can have its pros and cons, depending on how you set it up.
