I'm curious if playing Dark Souls 2 and Elden Ring online is possible with Linux. I've heard that using Proton on Steam can run most FromSoftware games smoothly and that there are tweaks for better performance. However, I'm not sure about the multiplayer capability. Can anyone shed some light on this?

From what I've heard, Elden Ring's multiplayer doesn't work on Linux natively, but you can use the Seamless Coop mod, which actually provides a better co-op experience, including features like invasions! Just keep that in mind if you're looking to play with friends.

Absolutely, both Elden Ring and the Dark Souls series work great on Linux. Just watch out for anti-cheat issues. Some publishers, like EA and Ubisoft, don't allow Linux users to access their titles online, but FromSoftware's games are fine. So, you should be good for both online and offline play!
