I have a Nothing Phone CMF 2 Pro, and it got unplugged last night. The only charging option I have available at work is a 74V DC outlet, which isn't what I'm used to since I normally use a 120V AC outlet. Will charging my phone with this DC outlet cause any damage?

Just to clarify, a 74V DC outlet does exist on locomotives and it’s pretty standard there. You're correct to be cautious! If you’ve confirmed this is the type of outlet, your phone would likely be damaged if you tried to charge it. It's great that you’ve had a job briefing, but keep your phone safe and use the proper charging options when available.

Charging a phone with a 74V DC outlet sounds risky! Most phone chargers are designed for standard AC voltages, and it's not clear if they can handle that high a DC voltage. I definitely wouldn't plug it in without knowing more about the charger and its limits. Better safe than sorry!

I’d suggest doing a quick search online for "74 volts DC outlet" to see what others say about it. There could be specific adaptors or chargers designed for that kind of voltage that might work for your phone. Just make sure to read up before experimenting!
