I built a PC for my girlfriend a few months ago, but the PSU I bought is too big for the case. It's been sitting on a wooden desk without any issues. However, we recently got a smaller desk, and now the PSU doesn't fit. I'm considering putting it on top of the PC case, but I'm worried about potential short circuits or damage to the PC. Is it safe to do this?

Placing the PSU on top of the case shouldn't damage anything, but there's always a risk of it getting knocked off, which could lead to problems. So, just keep it stable!

I get that! Plus, there's a radiator about 5cm behind the case. Just be careful—it could conduct electricity if anything goes wrong. You don't want to risk frying a pricey build.
