My friend and I will be on a long flight and want to play Stardew Valley together on our phones. Since we can't use a typical LAN connection, I'm looking for ways to create a local network to connect without bothering anyone on the plane. Is it feasible to use my phone's hotspot while in airplane mode? Or should we connect to the plane's WiFi? If wireless options aren't viable, what would be a good LAN setup?

Consider getting a GL.iNet travel router. They’re portable and can connect to an in-flight WiFi or a hotel network. Plus, it only requires one paid connection to share with multiple devices. Just make sure you have a battery pack to power it while you’re flying!
You might want to try using the airplane's WiFi, but keep in mind that it could be slow or limited. Just so you know, not every plane supports connections between devices, so you might not be able to play that way.
What if the plane doesn't have WiFi, or if it does, can we use it without paying for a subscription?
From my experience, most airlines block device-to-device connections when using their WiFi.

Sounds great! I’ll check that out. Thanks for the tip!
