I just bought a Seasonic Focus GX-750 PSU because my old power supply died. My setup includes a GeForce RTX 3060, which needs a 6+2 PCIe connector for the GPU and an 8-pin connector from the PSU. However, all the newer PSUs come with 12VHPWR cables instead of the traditional connectors. I'm trying to figure out if I need to return the new PSU and search for a refurbished one, or if I can use an adapter to connect the 12VHPWR to the 6+2 PCIe on my graphics card. I'm really out of options and could use some advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation!

Most 750W power supplies, including the one you have, actually come with multiple 6+2 PCIe cables. For example, the Cooler Master MWE Gold 850W PSU features four 6+2-pin connectors, which is pretty standard. Your Seasonic Focus GX-750 does have two PCIe 6+2 cables as well, so that's sufficient for your RTX 3060.
So, just to clarify, I can still use the PSU even with the 12VHPWR connector? I was worried it wouldn’t work with my older GPU.
