I recently received a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that has a 650VA rating. I don't currently have a UPS and I'm wondering if it's suitable for connecting to my gaming PC and monitor. Will it perform better than having no UPS at all?

It's definitely better to have a UPS than to go without one. Just be aware that if you're pushing it too hard, the UPS could shut down. A good idea would be to plug your monitor into a separate power outlet to reduce the load on the UPS.

In case of a power outage, you can use the UPS to safely shut down your PC by pressing the power button. Just make sure the UPS isn't overloaded, as that could lead to unexpected shutdowns.

A 650VA UPS typically offers around 300 watts of output power. That’s somewhat close to the requirements of a gaming PC, so it might work, but you'll need to keep an eye on total power usage to avoid overload.
