Can I use an A320M motherboard with an AMD 7500F CPU?

I have an A320M A Pro motherboard and I've just bought an AMD Ryzen 5 7500F processor. I'm wondering if they can work together or if I need to do a BIOS update first. Any advice?

The combination won't work because your motherboard has an AM4 socket, and the CPU is from the AM5 series. You either need to downgrade to an AM4 CPU or upgrade your motherboard to match your new CPU.

They're not compatible at all. Your current board is for AM4 CPUs, and the 7500F is AM5, so you’ll need to upgrade your motherboard if you want to use that CPU.

And yes, you'll need to upgrade to DDR5 RAM as well since that's what the AM5 platform requires. So, looks like a full upgrade for you!
