I have an A320M A Pro motherboard and I've just bought an AMD Ryzen 5 7500F processor. I'm wondering if they can work together or if I need to do a BIOS update first. Any advice?

Exactly! The A320M motherboard needs an AM4 CPU and DDR4 RAM. Since you've got an AM5 CPU, you’re looking at needing a new motherboard as well as DDR5 RAM to make it all compatible. For future reference, checking the motherboard's compatibility on its website or using sites like PCPartPicker can save a lot of hassle.
No, they won't work together. The A320M board uses an AM4 socket, while the 7500F is an AM5 CPU. You'll need to either stick with an AM4 CPU or upgrade your motherboard to one that supports AM5 and DDR5 RAM.
And yes, you'll need to upgrade to DDR5 RAM as well since that's what the AM5 platform requires. So, looks like a full upgrade for you!
They're not compatible at all. Your current board is for AM4 CPUs, and the 7500F is AM5, so you’ll need to upgrade your motherboard if you want to use that CPU.
The combination won't work because your motherboard has an AM4 socket, and the CPU is from the AM5 series. You either need to downgrade to an AM4 CPU or upgrade your motherboard to match your new CPU.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely check those out next time.
