I'm planning to install an i5 14600k processor in a B760 DS3H DDR4 motherboard. I know that the performance might not be fully optimized, but will this setup cause any issues during a couple of months until I get a better motherboard?

Yes, it should run fine! You can use it temporarily without any major issues. Just keep in mind that you won't get the full performance from your i5 14600k until you upgrade to a better Z-series motherboard. But for a couple of months, you should be good to go!
