I'm looking for verified experiences regarding the use of AWS Activate credits for Anthropic Claude models (like Sonnet and Opus) through AWS Bedrock. I know that Anthropic usage on Google Cloud Platform is separate from GCP credits, and that Bedrock bills third-party model usage under 'Bedrock usage.' I received my AWS Activate credits from the NVIDIA Inception program on December 31, 2025. Can anyone confirm: 1. Does usage of Anthropic models on Bedrock deduct from AWS Activate credits? 2. Is this applicable to all Claude models or only certain ones? 3. Are there any edge cases to be aware of, such as commitments, regional limitations, or issues with credit configurations? I'd greatly appreciate any firsthand insights or billing experiences!

I gave it a shot but hit a rate limit that made it pretty unusable for me. I might've misconfigured something, so I switched back to Max. I still want to retry Bedrock with my credits, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
For more details about services covered with your AWS Activate credits, consider reaching out to AWS's Billing team through the Support Center. They can provide the latest and most accurate information.
Based on what I've seen, Anthropic models are indeed billed as part of 'Amazon Bedrock usage,' which means Activate credits apply. Users have had success with Claude Sonnet and Opus in supported regions. No special commitments are needed, but keep an eye on your billing dashboard after testing to ensure the credits are getting used. Most issues arise from quotas or regional availability.
I've seen this work effectively for us. When using Claude through Bedrock, it shows up as standard Bedrock inference charges, and yes, it did consume our Activate credits without needing anything extra set up. We used Sonnet, Haiku, and Opus without issue as long as Bedrock is enabled in your region tied to the credits. Just watch out for regional availability and service limits, no special commitments are necessary, but older restrictions might cause problems. Just make sure your region supports it!
That's great to hear! I was worried about restrictions, but it's good to know the setup is straightforward for regions with Bedrock access.
All models available in Bedrock can use credits, but be cautious of rate limits. It's better to utilize US regions and check for any quotas or limits to avoid issues!

Rate limits can be tricky! You might want to double-check regional settings next time. I hope it works out for you!
