I'm a startup founder who's enrolled in the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub and I've got some Azure credits available. With the recent integration of Anthropic's Claude models—specifically Claude Sonnet 4.5, Claude Opus 4.1, and Claude Haiku 4.5—on Azure AI Foundry, I'm curious about how billing works. Can I use my Microsoft Founders Hub Azure credits to pay for usage of these Claude models on Azure AI Foundry?

You can definitely use the Claude models through Copilot! I linked my GitHub billing with an Azure subscription and was able to use my credits to cover the costs without any issues.
That's not entirely true. Sponsored subscriptions can have conditions—especially regarding what regions you can use and specific resource limitations.
Just give it a shot! A credit is a credit in Azure, and it shouldn't come with restrictions.
I haven't seen any charges for Codex; it usually shows up as $0 for me. I ran Claude Code on Azure for a few days and haven't been billed at all for it.

How exactly did you get the Claude code to work with Azure?
