Can Installing Multiple Terminal Emulators Lead to Issues on Linux Mint?

I'm using Linux Mint 22.3 with Cinnamon, and I'm exploring terminal applications that support sixel graphics for specific features. Since the default GNOME Terminal doesn't support these graphics, I'm considering alternatives like Konsole and XTerm. However, I'm curious if adding another terminal emulator could cause any problems with my system or if it should be smooth sailing.

There’s a small possibility that new terminal emulators could pull in additional dependencies, but it's usually nothing major. Just be aware of that when installing. So, going for XTerm should be totally fine!

Thanks! That reassures me about installing it.

Installing another terminal emulator shouldn't cause any issues. In fact, you might want to find one that meets all your requirements and then remove the default terminal if it doesn't fit your needs. That way, you streamline your setup!

I see, that makes sense! I’ll definitely look for one that covers everything I need.
