I just found out that my parents are getting me the Samsung Odyssey G8 4K 240Hz OLED monitor for Christmas. I'm using a GTX 1660 Ti, and I'm really stressed about whether I can actually run games in 4K. I mainly play titles like Valorant, CSGO, and Risk of Rain. Should I be worried about how this setup will perform?

You don’t have to run games in 4K! Stick to 1080p, which is what you’re used to, and just enjoy the improved refresh rate and OLED visuals until you can upgrade your GPU.
That sounds like an awesome gift! The truth is, the 1660 Ti might struggle with 4K gaming, especially for more intensive titles. You’ll likely have to lower the resolution to 1080p to get decent frame rates. But hey, you'll still enjoy the monitor for lighter games and regular tasks. Maybe consider saving up for a new GPU down the line!
If you have a 4K TV, why not test out how your games perform at that resolution? Or you could stick to 1080p and see if the quality difference bothers you. I have a 1660 Ti running on a 4K TV, and I actually don’t mind the 1080p output at all!
