Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my GPU to a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming OC (16GB GDDR), and I'm wondering if my Corsair RM850 PSU from 2021 (850W Gold ATX Modular) will be enough to power it. I've heard it should work, but I'm a bit concerned about needing an adapter or if there are any compatibility issues. Any insights?

Absolutely, it will work! Just remember to use the adapter that comes with the GPU. I get how nerve-wracking it is to deal with these connections. If you're still worried about cable management, picking up a dedicated cable might give you peace of mind. Also, good luck with pricing; GPUs can fluctuate a lot!

Yes, your PSU should work with the RTX 5080 as long as you have the right adapter. The GPU comes with one in the box, but if you're looking for a cleaner setup, you could get a 2x8 to 12v-2x6 Type 4 cable from Corsair. Just make sure the connections are correct to avoid any issues!
