Hey everyone! I'm curious about my employer's access to my devices. I work from home using my personal WiFi on a company laptop that requires Okta for login. I know they can monitor activity on the company device, but what happens if I log into their portal via Okta on my personal device? Can they track my personal device in that case?

Nope, as long as you donโ€™t log into Okta on your personal device, you should be good! Just stick to your company laptop for work stuff and youโ€™ll avoid any worries.

In theory, they could monitor your personal device if you installed tracking software. But just logging into their portal doesnโ€™t give them access. Honestly, why not just use your company laptop for accessing work emails instead?

So, whatโ€™s the deal with installing stuff? Is there something specific that they'd need to install on my personal device to monitor it? I thought Okta was just a web portal for access.
