Hey everyone! My friend is looking to join us for some gaming, but his PC is quite old and budget-friendly. Here are his specs: a GTX 1050 Ti 4GB graphics card and an Intel i5-3470 processor. The games we typically play include CS2, Minecraft Java (with not too many mods), Rainbow Six Siege, and Valorant. I'm curious if he'll be able to achieve over 60 FPS in these games at low to medium settings. Any personal experiences or advice would be great. Thanks!

If he lowers the resolution and settings, he might squeeze out more frames. For CS2 and Valorant, he could see decent performance on lower settings, but Rainbow Six Siege might give him trouble. Minecraft should be fine as long as the mods aren't too demanding.
It's hard to find benchmarks for that combination of older hardware and newer games. Also, you didn't mention the resolution you're aiming for, which can really impact GPU performance. Generally speaking, I wouldn't expect all games to run well on medium settings, especially at 1080p.
