I'm thinking about switching to Linux Mint Cinnamon, and I want to make sure it will run well on my laptop before I go ahead with the installation. I have basic computer skills, and I mainly use my laptop for watching videos and recording music with Reaper. Based on what I've read, Mint Cinnamon seems like a good fit for my needs. Here are the specs for my laptop:

- Model: HP ProBook 440 G5
- Storage: 238 GB
- Graphics Card: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
- RAM: 16 GB
- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz
- System Type: 64-bit

I'd appreciate any advice, especially if I've left out any important details. Thanks in advance!

I recommend trying out Mint using a live USB stick first. It lets you boot into the OS without installing it, so you can see how everything works, including your Wi-Fi, before making a commitment.

Yes, your laptop should run Mint Cinnamon just fine! With 16 GB of RAM and that Intel UHD Graphics, you're set for basic tasks like watching videos and music recording. Mint is known for being lightweight and user-friendly, so you’ll likely have a smooth experience.

Absolutely! Many users find that Linux distributions run better on their hardware compared to Windows. Given your specs, you should be confident it will handle Mint Cinnamon well. Just make sure to back up your data before switching!
