Is there any way to install and run an AMD FX processor, such as an FX-4300, in an ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe motherboard? Would updating or reflashing the BIOS make it compatible?

A BIOS reflash will not add support for processors the motherboard was never designed to run. Newer FX chips require a different platform and power or firmware support, so this board should be limited to the compatible AM2 or AM3 CPUs listed by ASUS.
The board's supported CPU list covers specific AM2 and AM3 processors. The name “FX” applies to several different AMD generations, so an older Athlon 64 FX model may appear on the list, but newer chips such as the FX-4300 are not supported. Check the exact processor model against ASUS's CPU support list.

I was asking about the FX-4300 and similar newer FX processors, not the old Athlon 64 FX models.
