I'm planning my first completely new PC build and would appreciate a final sanity check before buying the parts. My current HP 15-dy2xxx laptop is short on storage and struggles with some games, so I'd like the desktop to handle gaming, digital art, and eventually college work.
I mainly play indie and multiplayer games such as modded REPO, Ultrakill, Terraria, Minecraft with around 90 mods, Lethal Company with about 40 mods, and REPO with about 30 mods. I'd like smoother performance at 1080p. I currently use Microsoft Paint but plan to move to Clip Studio Paint. I'll likely use the laptop for some schoolwork and transfer my games and art projects to the new PC, although I'm not sure whether that workflow makes sense.
This is a new build with no existing components to reuse besides my keyboard and mouse. I'm buying in the United States and have a Micro Center about an hour away. My budget is around $1,000, with a little flexibility but a preference to stay at or below that amount. I need Wi-Fi, don't have strict size or noise requirements, and care more about performance than RGB lighting. One monitor is enough to start, though I may add a second later, and I'd prefer a larger 1080p display.
I've gone through several revised parts lists and keep worrying that another version might be better or that prices will rise. Would this build meet my needs, or are there any important compatibility, upgradeability, or value issues I should address before making it my final list? I've also heard that an AM4 build may make more sense if I don't plan to upgrade much. The only upgrade I can currently imagine is replacing the case.

Consider stepping up to the 750W Sama GT power supply. It only costs a few dollars more than the 650W option and gives the system more power headroom for future upgrades.
What makes the 750W model preferable to the 650W one in this build?
