I'm a complete beginner putting together my first PC build using pcpartpicker, and I'm having everything set up at the same store. I'd love some feedback on whether I'm overpaying or if I might be going overboard on any components. Here's what I've selected: - CPU: 7800X3D for โ‚ฌ399.90 - Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE with 66.17 CFM for โ‚ฌ53.90 - Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX ATX AM5 for โ‚ฌ150.90 - RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 for โ‚ฌ195.90 - SSD: Western Digital Black SN770 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME for โ‚ฌ88.90 - GPU: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB for โ‚ฌ389.00 - Case: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower for โ‚ฌ65.90 - PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX for โ‚ฌ114.90 - OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Home Retail - Download 64-bit for โ‚ฌ135.90 (do I really need to pay this much for it?) The total comes out to โ‚ฌ1595 (not including the build service).

I think you might want to consider a larger PSU, but that's just my preference. If you 'overkill' on a foundational component like the PSU, it can last many upgrades. I have a 650W Gold rated PSU thatโ€™s been running since 2012 without issues. For my new setup, I'm definitely going over 1000W Platinum quality.

CuriousCat21: What do you mean by a 'larger' PSU? What difference does it really make? Thanks for your insight!

KeyFinder69: And you definitely don't need to shell out that much for Windows! You can find keys for around โ‚ฌ10-15.
