Can you review my 1440p gaming PC build, especially the GPU value?

I'm planning a gaming PC mainly for CPU-heavy games such as World of Warcraft, and I'll be playing at 1440p. The build uses a high-end CPU, but I'm worried that I may have cut costs too much on the other components—or possibly overspent in the wrong places. Is the overall parts balance sensible, and are there any components you would replace for better value?

The biggest issue is the graphics card price. That 5070 Ti appears to cost over $1,600, while comparable three-fan models are available for much less. I’d definitely compare several versions before buying.

A few parts seem unnecessarily expensive. PCIe 5.0 NVMe storage offers little practical benefit in games, so a good PCIe 4.0 drive should be enough. Also, using a micro-ATX motherboard in a full ATX case is usually unnecessary when similarly priced full-size boards are available. Check the missing prices and compare the total against your budget before deciding.

Unless you specifically need CUDA or another NVIDIA-only feature, an RX 9070 XT is worth considering. Paying roughly $400 more for a 5070 Ti doesn’t seem justified for gaming alone, especially at 1440p.

The CPU choice seems reasonable, but the storage and motherboard look like places where you may be paying for features that won’t improve gaming performance. A PCIe 4.0 SSD is perfectly adequate for game loading, and the motherboard should be chosen based on the features you actually need.

One thing to watch for is that a cheaper PCIe 4.0 drive isn’t automatically a better deal if it costs more than the specific PCIe 5.0 model. Compare the actual prices and reviews rather than choosing only by generation.

For this level of spending, I’d look at complete systems as well as individual parts. A 5070 Ti build should generally be noticeably cheaper than this, and depending on local pricing, you may even be close to a prebuilt with a faster 5080. If you prefer building yourself, the 9070 XT could provide better value.
