Can you review my planned gaming PC parts and suggest the best options?

I'm planning a new gaming PC and have researched the parts extensively, but I'm still unsure how the individual options compare in terms of performance, quality, compatibility, reliability, and value. The system will use a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, my existing RTX 3060 initially, and potentially a higher-end graphics card such as an RTX 5080 or Radeon RX 9070 XT later. For the motherboard, I'm considering the MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi, ASUS TUF B850-Plus WiFi, Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2, MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi, or ASUS TUF B650-Plus WiFi. PSU options include the Montech Century II 850W, be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850W, and Raijintek Cratos 850W. For cooling, I'm looking at the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO or ID-Cooling FROZN A620 Pro SE. Case options are the Lian Li LANCOOL 216, Phanteks XT M5, and Montech XR. I'm also choosing between several 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs, including the Patriot Viper VP4300 Lite, Silicon Power US75, Kingston KC3000, Verbatim Vi7000G, Kioxia Exceria Plus G4, Lexar NM790, Samsung 990 Pro, and WD SN850X. I'll keep an existing 1TB SATA SSD, and I'm aiming for 32GB of DDR5-6000 CL30, preferably G.Skill Flare X5, Lexar ARES, or Patriot Viper Venom. DDR5-6400 CL32 is also worth considering if it offers good value. I'm not concerned about appearance; I mainly want strong performance, dependable components, good compatibility, and sensible pricing. Which options would you choose, and are there better alternatives I should consider?

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a strong choice for gaming. From your motherboard list, I’d lean toward the MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi, although a good B650 board is also perfectly adequate if it’s meaningfully cheaper. I’d generally favor MSI or Gigabyte here, while ASUS may be worth considering only if its pricing and warranty support are particularly good. For the graphics card, the RTX 5080 may not offer great value compared with the Radeon RX 9070 XT, especially if it costs substantially more. The Montech Century II 850W is a sensible PSU choice unless another well-reviewed A-tier model is cheaper. The Phantom Spirit is an excellent air cooler, and SSD and RAM prices can fluctuate enough that buying whichever reputable option is cheapest makes sense.

Thanks for the feedback! I only mentioned the RTX 5080 as an example of the kind of future GPU upgrade I might make, but I agree that the RX 9070 XT could be the more sensible choice. Which motherboard from my list would you personally select?

My choices from the listed parts would be the MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi, Montech Century II or Raijintek Cratos depending on which is cheaper and better reviewed locally, and the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE or EVO. The Lian Li LANCOOL 216 is a strong case option because of its airflow. For storage, the Kioxia Exceria Plus G4 is a good pick if competitively priced, and Patriot Viper Venom DDR5-6000 CL30 would be a suitable memory kit. There’s no need to pay extra for premium SSDs like the 990 Pro or SN850X unless you specifically need their higher sustained performance.

That’s really helpful, thank you. I’ll compare the current prices and availability before deciding.
