Hey everyone! I've come across some kits or heatsinks that claim to turn regular non-ARGB RAM into RGB by adding some lighting effects. I'm really curious if anyone has tried any of these installations. What are the pros and cons? Also, where can I find these kits? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I think it’s a waste of time, effort, and money for aesthetic changes. Might not be worth it in the long run.
I’d say skip it. Why add more points of failure to your setup without any real benefit?
RAM is pretty valuable these days, so I wouldn’t risk any cosmetic alterations that might damage it. Seems like a bit of a gamble to me.
It doesn’t really harm the RAM. It has a separate 3-pin connector.
I’m using the Thermaltake memory lighting kit, and it’s super easy to install. It simply snaps onto the RAM slots and connects through an ARGB port. There’s a little space between the kit and the RAM, which is nice. I wanted to match the lighting with my all-black setup since my RAM was white.
Yeah, I’m with you on this one!
If it’s possible, could you share a picture of your setup?

What's the risk of failure, though?
