Hey everyone! I'm putting together a gaming PC and I've settled on the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D for my CPU. I found two options at a local store: the Tray Socket edition and the Box Edition. The Tray edition costs about $356.18, while the Box edition is around $393.03, both with tax included. I noticed they have the same specifications listed online. What are the key differences between these two versions? Thanks in advance for your help!

The main difference is that the Tray edition usually doesn't come with a warranty, especially if you're not a system builder. If you're comfortable with that risk, it could save you some cash.

Thanks for clarifying! I don’t think I’ll have any issues just using it normally.
