Choosing the Right GPU Upgrade from an RX 5700

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU since my current RX 5700 really struggles with newer games. I'm considering a few options: an RTX 5080 for around 1000€, a RX 7900 XTX for about 850€, or a RX 9070 XT for 600€. I don't see a major performance leap between the 7900 XTX and the 9070 XT, but it seems like there's a significant upgrade with the 5080. Given my gaming at 1440p, which GPU should I go for? Is the extra cost for the 5080 worth it?

I’d definitely recommend the RX 9070 XT. It’s roughly 332% faster than your RX 5700, and for the price, it makes the most sense. While the 7900 XTX and RTX 5080 are also great options, they come at a premium. Plus, if you’re mainly gaming at 1440p, the 9070 XT should handle that really well.

Does it matter which brand design I go for with the 9070 XT, or is it just personal preference?

If you can find a non-XT version of the 9070 for around 540€, I’d recommend checking that out. It’s cheaper and is still a solid performer. Just keep in mind that the 9070 XT consumes more power than some of its predecessors, so factor that into your decision. If you're considering NVIDIA, I’d lean towards the 5070 Ti if it's around 250€ cheaper than the 5080.

I can get a 9070 for about 540€, which is 60€ less than the XT. Do you think it’s worth going for the non-XT?
