Concerns About Switching from Nvidia to Radeon without OS Reinstall

I'm thinking about upgrading from my old Nvidia graphics card to a new Radeon model. My main concern is whether I need to reformat my C: drive and reinstall Windows to avoid any potential issues. Specifically, how worried should I be about leftover Nvidia drivers or settings interfering with the performance and reliability of my new Radeon card? Is it risky to make this switch without doing a fresh install of the OS?

You really don't have to stress about it. Tech is way more resilient now than it used to be. Just swap the cards out and run DDU to do a quick clean! It's easier than you think.

You definitely don't need to do a clean OS install just for a GPU change. It's highly recommended to use DDU, which stands for Display Driver Uninstaller, to remove the old Nvidia drivers before you install your new Radeon card. There are plenty of guides and videos on how to do this, and it makes the transition smooth.
