I've been working for the same company since 2017, starting as senior support with a salary of 85k. After a year, I unofficially transitioned into a sysadmin role. Over time, my salary has only slightly increased to 114k, mainly due to inflation adjustments. Now, the company is trying to fill a desktop support (L2) position, offering 90k. Interestingly, they've found no candidates willing to accept below 110k for that role, and the recruitment team suggests they might just need to pay that amount. With 20 years of IT experience under my belt, I've been seeking a salary realignment for three years without success. Is it finally time to consider moving on? Also, just to clarify, I'm located in Sydney, Australia.
