Considering Switching from Windows to Linux – Which Distro Should I Choose?

I'm on holiday for about a month and thinking about switching my computer from Windows 10 to Linux. I'm not sure which distribution to choose. Here are my computer specs:

- Processor: i5-9600K CPU @ 3.70
- RAM: 16GB
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
- Storage: 2.57 TB

Any recommendations on which distro would be best or easiest for someone making the switch? I'd appreciate any help or advice!

I would recommend trying Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop environment first! It's user-friendly, and many people find it comfortable if they’re coming from Windows. Definitely a solid choice to start your journey!

Totally agree! Mint really is a great starting point for newcomers.

Linux Mint is often recommended for general use because it’s one of the easiest distros—everything tends to "just work." If you’re a gamer, you might want to check out Pop!_OS since it has good support for gaming features.
