Could My Power Supply be Causing Game Crashes?

I'm having a frustrating issue while playing DayZ where my computer randomly restarts during sessions, and it shows the error message "Your PC ran into a problem and will restart." This happens at unpredictable times—sometimes after just 15 minutes and other times up to 3 hours. The game runs smoothly until the crash. I've tried verifying the game files, updating drivers, and ensuring nothing else is running in the background. I've even tested the memory and found no issues, but I see kernel 41 errors in the event viewer. I'm starting to suspect my power supply might be the culprit. Here are my specs: Rtx 4060 Ti, i9 14900k, 32GB DDR5 5200MHz, and a 2TB SSD.

I noticed you didn’t mention the exact error message—those details are super helpful! But from what you described, frequent restarts could indicate power supply issues. Just be careful, because if it’s underperforming, it might damage your components over time!

Totally agree! If it's showing kernel 41 errors, that’s often linked to power issues. Better safe than sorry—might be time for a PSU upgrade!

You should definitely check your power supply. Based on what you’ve described, it sounds like it might not be able to handle the load, especially since you have a powerful setup. The fluctuations in gameplay could easily trigger restarts if the PSU isn’t cutting it. What’s the wattage on it?

Yeah, the wattage matters a lot! If it's a generic PSU, that raises more red flags. You might want to consider getting a reliable one if that’s the case.
