Could Someone from My Neighborhood Be Trying to Hack My Computer?

Lately, I've been noticing some strange behavior with my computer that has me concerned someone from my neighborhood might be attempting to hack me. A few weeks ago, my internet felt throttled, making my download speeds drop significantly, especially on Steam. I decided to leave my computer off for a few days and when I returned, everything seemed to work fine again. However, for months now, I've been seeing cmd scripts popping up quickly when I boot up my computer. I'm a game developer, so that might explain those cmd windows, but it still worries me. Just recently, while my computer was on the lock screen, it started typing non-stop in the login prompt. This happened even though my internet was down, so I turned off my computer. I'm really uneasy about all this—does anyone have any advice or insights?

First off, don't panic! If you're a coder, you probably know some basic troubleshooting steps. Try running Windows Defender or one of those online scanners to check for malware. Also, make sure all your drivers are updated and run a Windows update. It might not be anything too dangerous, but it’s best to do a thorough check just to be safe.
