Could Someone Have Tampered With My Phone?

I accidentally left my phone behind, but luckily, a kind person picked it up and returned it after sharing their location. However, now my phone is asking me to bring my face into view, and I can't help but wonder if this "good guy" might have messed with it in some way. Is it possible that my phone was tampered with or hacked while it was away from me?

I doubt there's anything to worry about. Hacking phones isn't as common as people think, and as long as your phone's software is up-to-date, it should be fine. Could you explain what makes you think it was hacked?

It sounds like your phone is just prompting for Face ID. If you're worried, maybe do a factory reset to be safe, especially if you think something might have happened while it was out of your hands.

Yeah, I agree. Unless you have clear signs of tampering, it’s likely just the Face ID feature working as intended. Just make sure all your updates are current!
