Did my GPU order come without the outer box?

I recently received my XFX Swift RX 9070 XT, but I noticed that it only came with the inner box and no outer packaging. The website did mention that items might be sent in plain packaging. I'm curious about this practice though—why would they exclude the outer box? Is this a common approach for expensive items like GPUs?

I get your concern about possibly receiving a return. It’s good that you noticed the note about plain packaging. Companies sometimes do this to cut costs or for shipping efficiency—they aim to keep valuable items discreet to prevent theft during transit.

It seems like it might be a pre-owned item, especially if the outer packaging is missing. But if the GPU's anti-static bag is sealed with tape, that’s a good sign that it’s new. Just make sure to verify everything when you can!

I checked, and it’s definitely the XFX Swift 9070 XT.

When they mention "plain packaging," it usually means that while the item is shipped in a generic outer box to avoid drawing attention, the actual product packaging should still be intact. It sounds like everything you received should be fine and not something to worry about—the outer shipping box isn't always fancy or branded to keep it discreet.

Yeah, I totally get that. It’s just strange, especially since it arrived wrapped in just bubble wrap inside a plain brown bag. Do you think there’s a chance it’s a return?
