I recently started my HP Envy 16-h1000 laptop and noticed that the backlight was really dim. This seems to be a common issue related to motherboard fuse problems, based on what I've heard from others in the past. After performing a reset, I accessed the CMOS Reset and hitting enter allowed me to return to my home screen where everything appeared normal... for now. However, I've been experiencing this dim display issue for two days now. Can anyone help me identify if this is a hardware or software problem that I need to get fixed?

I agree with the hardware theory. If the reset temporarily fixed the issue, it might just be masking a deeper problem. It's best to have a professional look at it to avoid further damage.
It sounds like a hardware issue to me, especially if the dimness started suddenly. It could be something with the display itself or the laptop's motherboard. Definitely worth taking it to a repair shop to get it checked out.
