Do Apple Wired EarPods (Type C) Need Bluetooth Enabled?

I've seen some discussions suggesting that the wired EarPods with a Type C connector require Bluetooth to function, even though they are supposed to be wired earbuds. Is this true, or is it just a problem with counterfeit versions? If anyone has the original Apple EarPods, could you clarify this for me?

I can confirm that they don’t require Bluetooth. They run entirely on the wired connection, just like you'd expect from any normal wired headphones.

Nope, the Apple Wired EarPods that use a Type C connector do not need Bluetooth turned on at all. They work solely through the USB connection without any wireless requirements.

Absolutely not, they just use the cable to connect and play music. Bluetooth shouldn’t even be a factor here.
